Your expertise in animal handling, pet grooming, and veterinary care will ensure each pet leaves looking and feeling their best. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for dogs and other small animals according to breed standards and owner preferences Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process Assist with dog training techniques to help pets stay calm and cooperative during grooming sessions Restrain animals safely using appropriate animal handling and restraint techniques Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Support veterinary team members with animal handling, pet care, and basic animal health assessments as needed Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or animal handling; kennel or veterinary technician/assistant experience is highly valued Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary procedures related to animal care Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to lift animals or equipment safely Familiarity with pet grooming tools, techniques, and breed-specific styling standards Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Prior experience in veterinary or animal care environments such as kennels or shelters is a plus Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently Embark on a fulfilling career where your love for animals makes a difference every day!
