Dog Daycare and Kennel Attendant

Job Overview As a Kennel Technician at our busy boarding and grooming facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets in our care. You will be responsible for cleaning tasks, animal exercise and care, overseeing feeding and medication, and reception duties as needed (minimal). You may also have some shifts in our doggy daycare center, overseeing play, supervising dogs, and performing general cleaning tasks. This position requires a genuine love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle pets safely and effectively. Duties Perform cleaning tasks to keep the kennel and daycare areas sanitary, clean, and tidy. Assess the safety and wellbeing of pets in our care. Properly administer food and medication as directed by the pet owners. Supervise solo and small group play sessions indoors and outdoors. Use proper animal handling techniques to ensure the safety of both the pet and yourself. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any concerns observed during their stay. Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and clients. Skills Basic animal handling skills to ensure safe interactions with pets. Experience in dog handling , including knowledge of different temperaments and behaviors. Ability to perform heavy lifting , and bending/lifting as needed. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their needs effectively. Familiarity with pet care practices. Basic familiarity with dog body language. We offer daycare, day boarding, boarding for cats and dogs, and grooming services.
