Job Description
We are an established pet care company serving the Seacoast area, known for dependable service and a strong commitment to animal well-being. Due to increased demand for overnight services, we are currently hiring responsible and compassionate Pet Sitters to join our team. This role involves providing overnight care for pets in clients' homes. It's well suited for individuals who are comfortable working independently, enjoy being around animals, and can adapt to different home environments. Key Responsibilities Provide overnight, in-home care for pets (typically 12-hour shifts, evening to morning) Feed pets, walk dogs, clean litter boxes, and follow care routines Administer medications when required Observe and report any changes in pet behavior or health Maintain cleanliness and ensure the home remains secure Communicate updates with clients and the team Assignments may range from single-night stays to multi-day bookings. Location Requirements Applicants should reside in or near the following areas to reduce travel time: Newington, Portsmouth, Greenland, Stratham, North Hampton, New Castle, or Rye Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license Comfortable driving and walking in various weather conditions Able to transport pets in case of emergency Pet Care Skills Ability to safely handle and walk dogs of various sizes (including large breeds) Familiarity with basic animal behavior and care practices Comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and small animals Able to recognize signs of stress or illness in pets Capable of responding appropriately in unexpected situations Work Environment Willingness to stay in different client homes Respect for client privacy and property is essential Communication & Tools Professional and clear communication with clients and team members Ability to follow schedules and adapt when needed Smartphone required for scheduling and updates Requirements Ability to commit to ongoing work (consistency is important for clients and pets) Background check required Previous pet care experience preferred Strong reliability and attention to detail What We Offer Flexible scheduling options Supportive team environment Opportunity to work closely with animals in a meaningful role Interested?
