Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures Restrain pets safely using appropriate animal handling techniques and equipment Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance as needed Support the team with additional animal handling duties including kennel cleaning or pet sitting when required Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or related animal care fields such as veterinary technician or assistant roles Strong knowledge of dog training techniques and dog handling skills Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant responsibilities is a plus Ability to handle animals safely and confidently during grooming procedures and restraint situations Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and positively Experience with heavy lifting required for lifting pets or equipment safely Knowledge of animal handling best practices across different species including dogs, cats, and potentially equine animals is advantageous Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial but not mandatory Join us if you're passionate about animal care, thrive in a lively environment, and want to help pets look their absolute best!
