Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring health status Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and obedience Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress Support veterinary staff with basic animal handling, grooming, and pet sitting tasks as needed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, treatment areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment Observe animals closely for signs of illness or distress and report findings promptly Engage with pet owners by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and providing updates on their pets' well-being Skills Experience in dog training, pet grooming, or pet sitting is highly desirable Background in veterinary assisting or technician work enhances your ability to care for animals effectively Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animal transfers Excellent customer service skills to communicate compassionately with pet owners and visitors Familiarity with veterinary procedures or kennel operations is a plus Passion for animal care combined with a proactive attitude to ensure a safe and nurturing environment Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their families!
