In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pet care and animal handling, with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats if applicable. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, recommending appropriate grooming treatments as needed. Handle pets safely and effectively during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Communicate with pet owners about their pets' needs, grooming styles, and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships with clients. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services. Qualifications Proven experience in pet care or animal handling is preferred; experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Knowledge of dog handling techniques and familiarity with different breeds' grooming requirements. Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary when handling larger animals. Experience in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Additional experience in equine care or pet sitting is beneficial but not required. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
