Duties Provide professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals safely and compassionately, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess pet health conditions, alerting owners to any concerns that may require veterinary attention Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Assist with pet handling during grooming appointments, ensuring a calm and positive experience for each animal Support pet care activities such as feeding, walking, or basic veterinary assistance when needed Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet care and maintenance Experience Prior experience in pet grooming is highly preferred; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques and dog handling skills to manage pets of various temperament Animal handling experience across different species including dogs, cats, and possibly other small animals Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, or animal restraint methods demonstrates your versatility in animal care Strong customer service skills to build trust with customers.
