Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dog Kennel Cleaning Assistant to join our animal care team. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for our canine residents while providing compassionate pet care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities. Prior experience with animals, pet grooming or veterinary assistance is highly valued, but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of animals and support our pet care. Someone who has a compassionate attitude towards animals with a genuine interest in their well-being. We are located in Wantage/Sussex. We have mostly Golden Retrievers, Poodles, Cavalier King Charles, Australian Shepherds, and Doodles. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal care who seek part-time hours while making a positive impact on pets' lives. Some weekdays and weekends needed. Morning shifts are 7:30am-10:30am/11am and evening shifts are 5:30pm-8pm/8:30pm. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to ensure a hygienic environment Assist with dog handling during cleaning and routine care Support basic pet care activities as needed Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including feeding stations and outdoor play zones Provide attentive service to customers Assist with pet sitting duties when required, ensuring animals are comfortable and cared for Driving your own car is preferred. Sometimes may need to drive facility car to vet and grooming appointments. Will also need to assist owner with errands, going to stores for supplies, garbage disposal, etc. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, and mopping kennels. Also, giving dogs medicine and taking care of the puppies. Also, meeting with customers. Will be required to leave food and water for all dogs. And of course, playing and loving up the cute dogs as much as possible.
