Job Description

Job Overview Lakeside Kennel & Cattery is looking for a caring, reliable person to join our team as a Kennel Technician. If you love animals and enjoy staying active, this is a great place to grow your skills. You'll help keep our facility clean, safe, and comfortable while giving dogs and cats the daily care and attention they need. You'll also be joining a supportive, friendly team that truly enjoys working together and takes pride in what we do. It's meaningful, hands‑on work in a supportive, fun, and animal‑loving environment. What You'll Do Animal Care Feed and water pets according to their individual needs Walk dogs, supervise play, provide enrichment, and other activities Administer medications as directed Monitor animals for signs of stress, illness, or injury and report concerns Cleaning & Facility Care Clean and sanitize kennels, yards, and common areas Remove waste promptly and maintain a clean environment Wash and fold laundry Restock food, cleaning supplies, and other essentials Teamwork & Communication Maintain accurate notes on each pet's behavior and care Work cooperatively with team members Provide friendly, professional interactions with pet owners when needed What We're Looking For Experience with dogs and cats is preferred but not required Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and in a team Must be available for weekends and holidays Why You'll Love Working Here Hands‑on experience with animals every day Supportive team environment Opportunities to learn more about animal behavior and care A workplace where your compassion and hard work truly matter
