Kennel Technician (Seasonal)

Seasonal Kennel Tecnhician (For the Summer) Pet BnD is a premier pet care facility located in the heart of Albuquerque. Our mission is to create a safe, loving, and fun environment for pets while their owners are away. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Kennel Technician at Pet BnD, you will be an essential part of our team, ensuring the health and happiness of pets in our care. This position involves direct interaction with animals, maintaining clean and safe environments, and assisting with daily operations of our facility.

Responsibilities:

Provide food and water to pets according to their specific diet needs. Clean and disinfect kennels and play areas daily. Monitor the health and behavior of pets, and report any concerns to the supervisor. Administer medications as directed by pet owners and the supervisor. Engage in play and exercise activities with pets to ensure they receive adequate physical and mental stimulation. Assist customers during check-in and check-out processes. Maintain accurate records of pet information, feeding schedules, and medication administration.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments. Compassionate and patient with animals. Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
