In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring our furry clients look and feel their best while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Your passion for animals, combined with your attention to detail and love for pet grooming, will help create positive experiences for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in animal handling, grooming, and customer service within a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain pets during bathing, grooming, and drying processes to ensure their comfort and safety Perform pet baths, brush-outs, nail trims, ear cleaning, and other grooming tasks with precision and care Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards Assist with pet care routines such as feeding, walking, and monitoring health conditions when needed Support veterinary or kennel staff with animal handling or basic care duties as required Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming procedures, special needs, or behavioral considerations Ensure heavy lifting of supplies or pets is performed safely to prevent injury Cleaning of the salon. Skills Experience in pet grooming or animal handling with a focus on dogs; familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus Veterinary technician or assistant experience that demonstrates understanding of animal health and behavior Strong animal handling skills including restraint techniques for dogs and other small animals Knowledge of pet care practices such as bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and general grooming Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or pets of various sizes Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members Experience working in kennels or veterinary clinics is highly desirable Basic knowledge of veterinary or equine experience adds value to the role This energetic position invites passionate animal lovers eager to make a difference in pets' lives through professional grooming and care.
