Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each dog's temperament and health condition, alerting veterinary staff or pet owners of any concerns or abnormalities Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and pet behavior Assist with pet handling tasks such as dog training, pet sitting, or kennel duties as needed to support overall animal care operations Support veterinary team members with basic veterinary technician or assistant tasks when required, including light animal handling or heavy lifting Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred; certification in pet grooming is a must Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience enhances your ability to care for pets effectively Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain dogs safely during grooming procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Basic understanding of pet care practices including pet sitting, animal restraint, and general animal care principles Join us to help pets look their best while providing exceptional care that keeps tails wagging!
