Duties Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, ensuring proper leash handling and safety protocols. Provide pet sitting services that include feeding, administering medication if needed, and offering companionship to pets in their owners' absence. Perform animal care tasks such as grooming, cleaning up after pets, and maintaining a clean environment. Handle animals with confidence using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and handlers. Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization. Monitor pet health and behavior during visits, reporting any concerns or unusual symptoms to pet owners or veterinary professionals. Maintain detailed records of each pet's care routines, behaviors, and special instructions to ensure consistency across visits. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and pet grooming practices. Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant skills is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment related to pet care. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
