Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Animal Care Technician and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to animals in our shelter setting. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with a variety of species, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, ensuring their well-being through attentive care & handling. If you're passionate about animal welfare, eager to develop your skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this position is perfect for you! All roles are paid positions dedicated to supporting the health and happiness of animals. Provide daily care and supervision for animals housed in kennels or cages ensuring cleanliness and comfort. Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Handle pet care duties including feeding, grooming, exercise, and monitoring behavioral or health changes. Assist front desk staff with client interactions by showing and handling dogs or cats and providing information about a specific animal. Kennel experience with a strong understanding of animal husbandry practices (not required, but preferred). Ability to restrain animals safely using appropriate equipment and methods (training provided) Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and basic pet care principles to support overall well-being. A proactive attitude combined with attention to detail will ensure success in this rewarding role dedicated to improving animal health through compassionate care and technical expertise!
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
