We are focused on providing a safe, clean, and structured environment where dogs can play, stay, and receive exceptional care. We're looking for a reliable Overnight Dog Care & Facility Lead who takes pride in caring for dogs and maintaining a clean, organized facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, pays attention to detail, and understands that dog safety always comes first. The Role The Overnight Lead is responsible for the safety, comfort, and well-being of our boarding dogs while ensuring the facility is fully cleaned, stocked, and prepared for the following day. This is an independent position. You will often be the only staff member in the facility overnight and will be responsible for both dog care and facility operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, calm under pressure, and capable of managing responsibilities without constant supervision. ResponsibilitiesDog Care Monitor boarding dogs throughout the night Ensure dogs remain safe, comfortable, and secure Conduct evening and morning potty breaks Keep water bowls full and clean Clean kennels immediately following accidents according to established protocols Observe dogs for signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior Administer feedings according to each dog's instructions Administer medications according to instructions Document feedings, medications, and health concerns Facility Operations Deep clean play areas Disinfect kennels and surfaces Wash and sanitize food and water bowls Vacuum dog rooms, hallways, lobby, bathroom, kitchen, and laundry areas Wash, dry, fold, and organize laundry Empty trash throughout the facility and replace liners Place trash curbside when required and return bins before shift completion Restock cleaning supplies, poop bags, towels, and waste stations Refill cleaning solution bottles when needed Organize storage and work areas Prepare the facility for opening Communication & Documentation Complete shift notes before the end of each shift Document feedings, medications, health concerns, and incidents Report injuries, illnesses, maintenance issues, or supply shortages Communicate important information to management and the day team What Success Looks Like When you leave in the morning: ✔ Dogs are safe and comfortable ✔ Bowls are clean ✔ Laundry is completed ✔ Floors are clean ✔ Supplies are stocked ✔ Work areas are organized ✔ The facility is fully prepared for the day team Requirements Must be dependable and punctual Comfortable working independently Able to make sound decisions and remain calm under pressure Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift Comfortable working in a noisy environment and cleaning accidents when necessary Prior experience in dog daycare, boarding, veterinary, kennel, shelter, or animal care preferred but not required for the right candidate Schedule Overnight shifts Weekends and holidays may be required Additional daytime hours may be available for the right candidate Why Work Here?
