Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for a variety of dog breeds and other small animals. Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff. Assess each pet's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or pet care advice to owners. Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and sanitize tools and equipment regularly to uphold health standards. Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and after-care recommendations. Qualifications 2-3 years experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different coat types and grooming techniques. Knowledge of animal handling, restraint methods, and pet care best practices. Ability to lift heavy large breed dogs safely. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns. Additional skills in dog training, veterinary experience, equine experience, or pet sitting are beneficial but not required.
