Animal Care Attendant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch care to cats and dogs. The role requires a strong understanding of animal anatomy, husbandry, and restraint techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience with cats and dog handling and training. Duties Provide daily care to animals in kennels, including feeding, enrichment, cleaning, and monitoring their health. Handle and restrain animals as needed, using proper techniques to ensure their safety and comfort. Clean Cat and dog areas, kennels and cages using proper cleaning techniques and products. Wash bedding, dishes, toys, and litter boxes, etc.. Assist with shelter housekeeping, such as laundry, trash removal and putting away supplies. Assure each animal is properly identified. Assist veterinary staff as needed. Provide social stimulation to shelter animals. Interact with the public to show animals Work with a team.
