Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards or customer preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming plans accordingly Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting tools, tubs, and work areas regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests, provide care advice, and address any special needs or concerns Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes, ensuring a positive experience for clients and their pets Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog breeds and coat types Skilled in animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet care best practices Familiarity with heavy lifting is required for handling large dogs or equipment Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
