Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety during procedures Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, including tools, equipment, and work area, adhering to health and safety standards Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and special requests Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring animals are comfortable and stress-free throughout the groom. Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles demonstrates strong animal care knowledge Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as bathing tubs or large dogs safely and effectively Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate compassionately with pet owners and team members Knowledge of animal restraint methods, pet sitting procedures, and general animal care practices ensures a well-rounded approach to grooming Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals meets your professional skills!
