Duties Perform bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling of dogs to meet breed standards and customer preferences Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper animal restraint techniques Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being during grooming sessions Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and well-maintained Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide after-care advice Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring safety for both animals and staff Support additional animal care tasks such as basic veterinary assistance or kennel duties when needed Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong knowledge of dog handling techniques Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is highly desirable Familiarity with animal handling, restraint, and pet care procedures Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and comfortably Knowledge of dog training principles to manage different behaviors during grooming sessions Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their needs confidently Prior kennel experience or animal care background including pet sitting or veterinary experience is a plus Strong attention to detail combined with a lively attitude to ensure every pet looks and feels their best Join us in delivering top-tier pet grooming services that leave every dog looking fabulous and feeling loved!
