Responsibilities Safely handle dogs and cats of various breeds and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and drying processes Perform pet grooming tasks including bathing, drying, brushing, and nail trimming Willing to train in grooming techniques for career advancement Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used to keep pets calm and secure throughout the grooming process Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitation of grooming tools and equipment; and sanitation of runs/cages used for grooming Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, or health concerns Assist with pet care duties such as feeding, walking, or basic veterinary-related tasks when needed Support team members by handling heavy lifting of equipment or large animals safely when required Qualifications No grooming experience necessary! Willing to train the right person. Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for equipment or larger animals (40-60 pounds) Reliability and a strong work ethic Willingness to learn and take direction Comfort with a fast-paced, sometimes messy environment Ability to stand for 5-6 hours Most of all, a genuine love for animals and a calm, caring demeanor This isn't just a job- it's a place to learn a skill, build confidence, and grow into something more.
