Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Feed Room Sales Associate specializing in Animal Care and Feed needs! In this energetic role, you will be the go-to expert for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their animal care needs. You'll manage the feed room inventory, demonstrate product knowledge, and ensure a welcoming environment for pet owners and animal enthusiasts alike. Your enthusiasm for animals and retail expertise will help foster a positive shopping experience and promote responsible animal care. Duties Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their needs, and provide knowledgeable advice on animal feed, supplies, and care products Maintain accurate stock levels by merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing the feed room to ensure easy access and safety Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of various animal care items Process transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash and card payments accurately, and perform cash handling duties Assist with upselling complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Ensure excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely Support inventory management by performing regular stock checks, recording product movement, and notifying supervisors of low stock levels Requirements Prior retail sales experience, specifically in a farm/pet supply environment Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and animal care tips Leadership qualities are valued Familiarity with merchandising, stocking procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations Ability to demonstrate products confidently and engage customers through product demos Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to build lasting relationships with clients Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Additional Information Pay based on proven skill set & knowledge of animal feed needs. Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
