Kennel Assistant

THIS JOB IS PART TIME!

Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote hygiene and comfort for animals Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medication under supervision as needed Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals looking their best Provide pet sitting services by monitoring animals' behavior and ensuring their needs are met during their stay Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care routines, special needs, or behavioral concerns Skills Experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly desirable Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safe handling practices Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and visitors Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or animal transport Familiarity with dog training methods and basic obedience commands Veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is a plus for understanding medical needs Excellent animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
