Kennel Technician

Tip Top K9 Dog Training is seeking a responsible, hard-working Kennel Technician to join our professional animal care team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all animals in our care. If you love animals, thrive in a structured environment, and are ready for hands-on physical work , this is the job for you. What You'll Do Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, watering, potty breaks Clean, disinfect, and sanitize kennels, the facility, food bowls, and equipment to maintain high hygiene standards. Monitor animal behavior and physical condition, reporting any concerns or changes immediately to leadership. Safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments. Maintain accurate care records, feeding logs and med logs Assist with intake and release of animals and interact professionally with pet owners when needed. Required Qualifications To apply you must have: High school diploma or equivalent . Reliable attendance and ability to work weekends or holidays if scheduled. Comfortable working physically, including lifting up to and over 50 lbs, cleaning, bending, and standing and walking for long periods . A genuine interest in animal care and welfare , and the ability to handle unpredictable animal behavior calmly and professionally. Preferred (but not required): Previous experience working with dogs or in animal care environments such as shelters, boarding facilities, or vet clinics. Basic knowledge of canine behavior and body language Work Environment & Expectations This is on-site work in an active animal care facility. You will work with pets who may be excited, nervous, or stressed. This job requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a team-oriented attitude . You should be comfortable with noise, animal fur, and variable weather conditions for working outdoors. Why Tip Top K9 We care deeply about the animals and the community we serve. Pay starts at $9-$10 an hour with a $.50 raise if you stay 3 months and another one if you stay 6 months. If you stay 6 months then there is a possibility of moving to full time dog trainer depending on how well your handling dogs. Early morning is a must!
