Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health condition, noting any abnormalities or concerns that may require veterinary attention or special care Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling tasks such as dog training support or basic veterinary procedures when needed Support team members with kennel duties, pet sitting, or additional animal care responsibilities as required Experience Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different coat types and breed standards Background in dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care best practices Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable, providing insight into animal health monitoring Familiarity with animal handling techniques gained through kennel experience or heavy lifting of animals in a professional setting Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary experience related to animal behavior management is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Prior pet sitting or animal care experience demonstrating responsibility and compassion for animals of all sizes Join us in creating happy, healthy pets by applying your skills in a lively environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact!
