Job Description
Dog Bather Muddy Paws Bathhouse, Bend's premiere pet grooming salon, is looking for a dedicated, experienced individual to join our team as a dog bather. We're a neighborhood business known for providing clean, friendly, safe, and—above all—compassionate dog grooming. We're seeking someone who shares our values and can uphold the supportive, high-standard culture we've built. This position can be full-time or part-time, depending on your availability. We offer $18/hour plus tips.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Bathe, dry, and brush dogs using safe handling techniques and knowledge of canine characteristics and styles Trim nails, clean ears, externally express glands and brush teeth Check-in and check-out client's bathing appointments Maintain and sanitize grooming tools, kennels, and workstations throughout the day Educate customers on at-home grooming and coat care Laundering and folding towels Cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, windows, as needed)

Skills & Experience:
Confidence in handling dogs of all breeds and sizes, with a solid understanding of canine body language and behavior cues Patience and consistency in handling all dogs with compassion, regardless of temperament Strong communication and interpersonal skills (in-person and over the phone) Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and lift up to 60 pounds consistently throughout the shift At least one year of professional dog or animal bathing experience is preferred, but we're happy to train the right candidate Why Join Muddy Paws? Schedule & Availability:
Full-time team members typically work 4 days per week, with shifts ranging from 9 to 10 hours each. Our salon is open Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Part-time availability will be considered based on scheduling needs.
