Position OverviewCompensation:

Commission-based Earn 50% commission per grooming service.

Estimated earnings:

$100-300 per day depending on volume and services. With potential for more clients as we grow. Overview Join our new grooming team as a Part Time Dog Groomer and become a vital part of creating happy, healthy, and beautifully cared-for pets! In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the appearance and comfort of our canine guests while ensuring their safety and well-being. We are an enrichment based pet resort and use fear-free, low-stress handling techniques. The safety and emotional wellbeing of each dog is a top priority. This position offers flexible hours perfect for pet lovers eager to make a positive impact in a lively, pet-centered environment. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet each pet's specific needs and owner preferences Handle dogs using fear-free, low-stress handling techniques while ensuring proper animal restraint and safety during grooming procedures Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Monitor pets throughout the grooming process for signs of stress or health issues, communicating concerns to management if needed Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Support team efforts by helping with kennel cleaning, animal handling, and other pet care tasks as necessary Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming is preferred; certification in dog grooming is a plus but not mandatory Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience are a plus for understanding pet behavior and health considerations Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) safely when handling supplies or assisting with animals Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Previous experience working with animals such as veterinary technician or assistant roles, kennel experience, or equine experience is beneficial Passion for animal care combined with a proactive approach to safety and hygiene standards Since we are a new business and things change often and quickly as we grow, flexibility and the ability to go with the flow is a helpful characteristic.
