Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Safely handle dogs of various temperaments using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Conduct pet care routines such as ear cleaning, nail trimming, teeth brushing, and skin checks to promote overall health Assist with dog training activities or behavioral assessments as needed to support calm grooming sessions Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, or health concerns Handle animal restraint with patience and care, ensuring stress-free experiences for every pet Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or related animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with dogs of all sizes and temperaments Knowledge of dog training techniques and behavioral cues to facilitate smooth grooming sessions Familiarity with veterinary procedures related to pet health, including pet sitting or kennel experience is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs onto grooming tables) Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and provide professional guidance Basic understanding of animal restraint methods and pet care best practices Prior experience in animal handling environments such as kennels or equine facilities is advantageous Join us in creating a joyful grooming experience that leaves pets looking fabulous and feeling loved!
