Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Groomer to join our vibrant team at Camp Bow Wow. In this commission based role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health and happiness of our furry campers. Your enthusiasm for animal care, combined with your grooming expertise, will ensure every pet leaves looking and feeling their best. This commission based position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment where dogs' well-being is our top priority. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or pet care advice Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health standards Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs, additional options and services, and aftercare instructions Proactively involved in growing the grooming business through client outreach, attending trade shows, consistent rebooking, and effective communication of additional services Assist with animal handling during intake and departure processes to ensure smooth operations Support kennel duties as needed, including animal handling, feeding, and light pet care responsibilities Experience Prior dog grooming experience or certification from a recognized program is required Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods Familiarity with pet grooming tools, pet care routines, and animal handling best practices Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) safely as part of daily tasks Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Previous kennel or pet sitting experience is advantageous but not required Join us at Camp Bow Wow where your passion for animals meets a dynamic team dedicated to making every dog's day exceptional!
