Job Description
Saturday 2pm-7am Sunday 2pm-7am All Holidays are required work days Must be good with all dog breeds/sizes Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets in a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and safety protocols, ensuring that all animals receive the highest standard of care. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets as needed. Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of animal living spaces, including kennels and play areas. Assist with administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinary professionals. Engage with animals through play and socialization to promote their emotional well-being. Ensure proper handling and restraint techniques are used during interactions with animals. Keep accurate records of animal care activities, including feeding schedules and health observations. Support pet owners with guidance on animal care practices when necessary. Skills Proficiency in animal care practices, including a minimum of 6months-1year in dog daycare and boarding facility as a caretaker/ handler in the play group(s) Strong knowledge of animal behavior and ability to recognize signs of distress or illness. Familiarity with kennel operations and the ability to maintain a clean environment for animals. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. A compassionate attitude towards animals, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. All references will be checked.
