Kennel Attendant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care for animals in our facility, ensuring their well-being and comfort. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners effectively. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the staff. Engage with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' status and addressing any questions or concerns. Support in training dogs as required, fostering positive behavior and socialization. Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning equipment. Ensure all safety protocols are followed while handling animals. Qualifications Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred; experience in a kennel setting is a plus. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare. Certification as a veterinary assistant is an advantage but not required.
