Job Description

Once Upon A Dog Tail LLC Team Lead/Administration Various Site Locations/Main Office- We would like to hire someone who lives in Lancaster City or Township and be comfortable driving, walking and parking in Lancaster City in order to help with pet visits in the area. Please do not apply if you do not live within 5 minutes of the city. Part Time Shifts 1. Most hours M-F 9-4pm, Small amount of time during the weekends/flexible 2. Up to 20 hours weekly 3. Ability to help out with emergencies during the weekends if needed. The Team Lead/Administration position Team Leads are an integral part of the Once Upon a Dog Tail (OUADT) team. The Team Leads will build their skills by going through regular Pet Professional training first. This is where they will learn how the business runs and get hands on experience with clients pets. We are looking for individuals who have experience with dog and cat behavior and would be okay with preforming visits during their work hours. You will be performing visits during the day, while doing administrative tasks in time blocks which can be flexible. You will be checking in on the schedule before and after visits to ensure all is running smoothly. The person we are looking for would be comfortable speaking to clients, as well as assessing dog behavior while on Meet and Greets. They are the primary point of contact for Trainers, Pet Professionals and Clients. Due to position requirements for a Team Lead, a person in this position should possess professionalism and dependability. It is important to be detail oriented and timely with all tasks and communication. They must be able to have a clear understanding of our business processes, services, employees, and clients. This position requires a lot of messaging, keeping track of schedules, and knowledge of small details about each of the Pet Professionals and clients. Team Leads should have excellent office management and leadership skills. Once Upon a Dog Tail employs eight+ Pet Professionals at a time and provides services to over 400 clients in the Lancaster area. The management of staff and clients can be challenging at times. We work with many types of personalities and we need people who can work with them and delegate tasks when needed. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as you will be dealing with employees and clients on a daily basis. You will need to educate clients about our services, answer questions and maintain a patient and friendly personality. You will need to sell the service to our clients and cultivate relationships with our employees. Being a natural problem solver is extremely important. We provide top notch services and taking on the huge responsibility of caring for one's pets and personal home are not something to take lightly. If there is a problem or emergency with a client's home, their pet(s), or with our Pet Professionals, the Team Leader is one of the first to help resolve the issue. Excellent Writing Skills are a must. Most of our communication is through writing. We need to be communicating concisely and clearly while expressing warmth through your writing. The clients need to feel secure with the people they're hiring to enter their homes to care for their pets. Team Leaders will be responsible for responding to client messages, assigning scheduler items, checking email and voicemail, and troubleshooting any Pet Professional issues. Team Leaders schedule and attend Meet and Greets with new clients, schedule services, and assist with client questions. Team Leaders also assist Managers with new hire orientation, oversee training, and monitor employee performance. A person in this role also assists with networking, marketing, client visits, and other tasks, as assigned. A Team Leads primary responsibilities are to provide excellent management skills to assist the Trainers . They are required to see when visits are late, not started and/or not completed on time. They are responsible for employee and client concerns during their administrative shifts.
JOB TASKS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise Pet Professionals Communicate with prospective clients Schedule and attend Meet and Greets Ensure client details are completed before service delivery Scheduling Monitoring service notes Sharing Happiness Reports (feedback) for Pet Professionals from clients Providing customer service to clients Respond to client messages, emails, phone calls, and/or text messages Provide initial visits for new clients Monitor need to hire Use Indeed to hire candidates Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training of new Pet Professionals Handle emergency situations when they arise Head meetings for Pet Professionals and/or administrative team Assist with lockbox issues Develop and/or maintain documentation in Google Drive Perform dog walking and pet sitting visits Monitor and track Pet Professional performance Complete performance reviews Provide disciplinary action to Pet Professionals when necessary Assist with other tasks as assigned (marketing, networking)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Team Leads are expected to work both at home and in the community, including taking visits. Client homes and surrounding neighborhood. Main Office Desk/Computer. Exposure to various hazards associated with animals. This can include bites, scratches, and wounds. Exposure to unpleasant odors and noises.
