Pet Groomers Assistant

Overview Part-Time Pet Grooming Assistant (1 Days/Week - Animal-First Salon) We are a one-on-one pet grooming salon focused on calm, safe, and respectful handling. The well-being of the animal always comes before speed or volume. We are looking for someone with basic grooming experience who can assist with daily grooming tasks and grow into more responsibility over time.

Position Details:

1 day per week $16/hour to start Opportunity to grow into grooming Required Experience (must have): Bathing dogs safely Brushing and combing (including light de-matting) Fluff drying / basic drying techniques Basic clipper work (comfort using clippers for simple shave-downs) Awarness of deshedding coats properly Must either be Pet CPR certified or willing to do so.

Gentle, patient handling Ability to read dog behavior and adjust accordingly Willingness to slow down for nervous or sensitive dogs Open to feedback and learning This is NOT the right fit if you: Rush through grooms Force dogs to "get it done" Get frustrated with difficult behavior This IS a great fit if you: Truly care about animals Want to improve your grooming skills the right way Are calm, observant, and teachable You want to learn everything about grooming including the haircuts. We are building a low-stress environment for both pets and people. The right person will be trained further and can grow into doing full grooms over time.
