Dog Bather

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dog Bather to join our dynamic pet care team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming and bathing services to ensure our canine clients look and feel their best. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care, excellent handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for pets. Responsibilities Safely bathe, dry, and groom dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation Assist with dog handling during grooming procedures, ensuring animals are comfortable and properly restrained Perform basic pet care tasks such as brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance Monitor dogs for signs of stress or discomfort and respond appropriately to ensure their safety Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitation of tools and work area Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, or concerns Support kennel duties as needed, including animal restraint, feeding, and general animal handling Assist veterinary staff with animal handling or pet sitting duties when required Heavy lifting of animals or equipment may be necessary; demonstrate physical stamina and strength Skills Proven experience in pet grooming or dog handling; veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of pet behavior management Familiarity with veterinary procedures related to animal care and grooming Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Experience working with animals in kennel or pet sitting environments Basic knowledge of pet care routines including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Compassionate attitude towards animals with patience for diverse temperaments This paid position offers an engaging environment where your expertise in animal care will make a meaningful difference.
