Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for grooming come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully cared-for pets. In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and comfort, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your expertise in animal handling, pet care, and grooming techniques will help build lasting relationships with clients while showcasing your love for animals every day. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being to recommend appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming station, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet care and maintenance Assist with animal restraint techniques to ensure safe grooming sessions for pets of all sizes and temperaments Support the team with additional animal handling tasks such as kennel cleaning or pet sitting as needed Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of dog handling and animal restraint techniques Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with animal health and behavior management Knowledge of dog training principles can enhance handling skills and improve grooming outcomes Experience working with animals such as dogs, cats, or equines in a professional setting is beneficial Customer service skills are essential for building rapport with pet owners and ensuring a positive client experience Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger pets or equipment safely Prior kennel or pet sitting experience can be advantageous for understanding animal care routines Join us in creating a welcoming environment where pets feel loved and cared for!
