Pet Groomer

Overview Lotus and Fur is a locally owned holistic pet grooming salon and wellness spa located in Bristol, TN. At Lotus and Fur, pride ourselves on providing an atmosphere of support for the health wellbeing of both our clients AND our groomers above all else. We give groomers the choice between a starting salary of 50k annually or a commission of each groom - both options include tips and vacation pay. We let you make your own schedule. And we work as a circle of support to make sure each groomer has everything they need before they even think to ask. (And if you need to take a mental health day, hey... we get it.) Because of this we are very selective about who we hire - groomers have to be compassionate to humans and animals above all else, energetically sensitive and responsive, and willing to be a team player. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort through proper restraint techniques Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being to recommend appropriate grooming treatments Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and ensure all tools are sanitized after use Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide after-care advice Assist with pet handling during appointments, including loading and unloading pets safely Support other team members Keep yourself and your space

ENERGETICALLY

clean and centered Qualifications At least 1 year work experience in pet grooming Strong animal handling skills across various breeds and temperaments, including heavy lifting when necessary Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their needs professionally Understanding and experience with energy work (reiki, etc.) a plus Additional experience in dog training, veterinary experience, equine (horse) handling, or kennel work is a plus We value compassion and empathetic team players committed to nervous system support and holistic care.
