Kennel Attendant

OVERVIEW

: We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistants to join our team. This is a part-time contractor position with a rotating schedule and two days off every week; reliable weekly pay (between 20-30 hours weekly). Hourly rate is dependent upon experience $11-15 per hour. Must be 18 years or older to apply and able to work mornings, afternoons and weekends . Hours of operation vary from 6-11:30am and 1:30pm-7pm each day. Applicants must be available to work immediately and maintain reliable transportation. • Please note, we do require team members to work holidays unless requested in advance .• The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and possess the skills necessary to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our furry clients. This role involves various responsibilities, including animal handling, cleaning, and customer service, ensuring that all pets receive the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities :

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with dog training and socialization activities as needed. Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper restraint techniques when necessary. Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times. Qualifications Previous experience in kennel work or animal care is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal behavior is essential. Experience in veterinary settings (veterinary technician or assistant) is a plus. Skills in pet grooming or pet sitting are highly valued. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for animal handling and cleaning tasks.
