Pet Groomer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for a variety of pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any concerns observed during grooming. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns. Assist in handling pets safely during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is required. Familiarity with animal care practices, including knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming needs. Experience in customer service roles is highly desirable to enhance client interactions. Skills in heavy lifting may be necessary when handling larger animals or moving equipment. Background as a veterinary assistant or in animal care roles such as kennel attendant, pet sitting, or equine care is a plus.
