Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed standards and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health condition, noting any skin issues, abnormalities, or behavioral concerns that may require veterinary attention or special care Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during other animal care activities such as kennel cleaning or pet sitting when needed Support veterinary team members by understanding basic veterinary procedures or assisting with animal handling tasks related to veterinary technician or assistant duties Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, with knowledge of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques Strong dog handling skills combined with animal restraint expertise to ensure safety for both pets and staff Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary technician/assistant background to recognize health issues during grooming or handling Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move large dogs or equipment safely Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Animal handling proficiency across various species including dogs, horses (equine experience is a plus), and other small animals Pet care knowledge encompassing pet sitting, animal care routines, kennel experience, and general animal handling practices This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to make a positive impact on pets' lives while honing their grooming craft. Pay:
