Kennel Technician - Part Time

PAWZ Dog Services is a dog boarding, dog daycare and grooming facility in South Knoxville. We operate Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday + Sunday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, Saturday + Sunday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. We're looking for Part Time Kennel Technicians to join our team! Skill + Experience Requirements Basic understanding of dog body language and anatomy Basic cleaning skills Basic dog handling skills Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to physically complete manual labor duties (bending, lifting, squatting, etc) Must be able to be on feet for at least 5 hours per day Duties Clean and disinfect boarding & daycare runs daily Feed boarding dogs AM, noon and PM Administer medication as instructed by owners Feed lunch to daycare dogs Provide water to all dogs Move dogs from runs to play yards for potty breaks or play time Organize and maintain cleanliness of boarding dogs belongings Wash dirty laundry; fold and put away clean laundry Wash dirty food and water bowls; put away clean dishes Keep disinfectant spray bottles and water jugs filled Empty and restock cleaning cart Maintain cleanliness in indoor and outdoor play yards (discard feces, mop, disinfect, take out trash) Complete basic baths, nail trims and ear cleanings when needed Sweep and mop walkways daily Maintain cleanliness of pool during spring/summer seasons Run safe and fun play groups Run enrichment activities for play groups Note any issues on kennel cards, add notes on feeding reports, add toppers, friends/enemies, etc
