Boarding Supervisor The Belmont Pet Resort & Daycare Nashville, TN Job Details Full-time From $18.50 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Companion animal handling Schedule management Team management Dog handling Delegation Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Boarding Supervisor to join or team! Our boarding supervisors are responsible for overseeing our boarding cats and dogs. They will either be the first or last person the animals see for the day! Our boarding supervisors are in charge of over seeing boarding as a whole and helping out with getting boarding dogs set up as they come in. If you thrive in a multi-tasking/fast paced environment where you get to care for cats and dogs, this might be the position for you! Responsibilities Making sure any messes are cleaned and disinfected as needed, this could be things from spilled water to urine/feces/vomit. Feeding pets and administering medications. Being in a daycare setting with dogs. Daily cleaning tasks/recurring cleaning tasks throughout the day. Keeping animal suites/condos tidy for our boarders. Time management to keep the animal care, daycare times and cleaning on track for the day. Delegating cleaning and a la carte tasks to staff during mid day cleaning. Taking dogs that may be reactive to other pets on walks throughout the day. Lifting heavy items, such as bags of dog food, animals and cleaning products. Being on your feet/moving for most of your shift. Being able to adapt to changes from day to day. Great communication skills to relay info to coworkers, management or owners as needed, and for shift changes. Helping work with coworkers to keep facility clean and organized. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Experience in a pet care, ideally in a boarding facility. Experience administering medication to pets is preferred. Must be comfortable handling cats. General understanding of animal behavior/temperament. Must have a reliable transportation. Basic understanding of Word and/or Excel preferred. Full time availability, including holidays, is required.
