For the right person, there are opportunities to train and grow into a grooming position. Duties Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and drying processes Perform pet grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and styling coats according to breed standards or owner requests Assist with dog training activities and reinforce basic commands during grooming sessions Restrain animals humanely using proper techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and ensure all equipment is sanitized and organized Observe animals for signs of health issues or discomfort and report findings to veterinary staff or supervisors Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming procedures and pet care needs Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with dogs of various sizes and temperaments Experience with veterinary technician or assistant roles, especially involving animal restraint or care, is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs onto tables) Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Basic understanding of pet grooming tools, animal restraint methods, and pet care best practices Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming and compassionate care!
