Company Overview Precious Pup Grooming is upcoming in Angleton and dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing environment where dogs can get pampered and spoiled. Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dog Groomer to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients. Your expertise will ensure each pet leaves feeling happy, comfortable, and looking their best, contributing to our welcoming atmosphere for pet owners. Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or pet care advice Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area, tools, and equipment at all times Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, or health concerns Assist with basic dog training or behavioral guidance as needed to ensure a calm grooming experience Support pet handling during procedures, ensuring safety for both animals and staff Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of different coat types and grooming techniques Knowledge of dog handling and animal restraint methods Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs) Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and courteously Prior experience with animal handling, kennel work, or pet sitting is advantageous Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal care standards 18 and older Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their families! Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
