Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant

You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe environment in our kennels and daycare areas, engaging with dogs through play, training, and grooming activities. Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain dogs of various sizes and temperaments using proper animal handling techniques Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization Provide pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene care Monitor dogs during their stay in kennels and daycare to ensure their safety and well-being Clean and disinfect kennels, play areas, and equipment regularly to maintain a sanitary environment Observe animals closely for signs of illness or distress and communicate findings to veterinary staff when necessary Support pet sitting duties by feeding, administering medication, and providing companionship to pets in our care Experience Prior kennel or animal care experience is highly preferred Experience working with dogs in a veterinary or pet grooming setting is advantageous Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus Strong animal handling skills with the ability to perform animal restraint safely Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and visitors Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or pet equipment Previous veterinary technician or assistant experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates This role is perfect for energetic individuals who love animals and thrive in fast-paced environments.
