Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, nail trimming, and ear cleaning for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients. Handle animals safely and compassionately, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Assist with pet care duties such as feeding, walking, and monitoring behavior as needed. Skills Proficiency in pet grooming techniques for various breeds. Experience in dog training or handling to ensure safe interactions with pets. Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is a plus. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage different temperaments. Knowledge of animal care practices, including proper restraint methods and hygiene standards. Customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment.
