Full-Time or Part-Time Vipets Salon is seeking a caring and experienced Pet Groomer to join our team in Rio Grande City, Texas. The Pet Groomer will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to pets, primarily dogs, in a safe and stress-free environment. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of animal behavior, grooming techniques, and provides excellent customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Bathe, brush, cut, trim, and style pets according to owner instructions or breed standards Clean ears and teeth, trim nails, and express anal glands as needed Safely handle pets and ensure their comfort throughout the grooming process Inspect animals for skin conditions, injuries, or abnormalities and notify pet owners Maintain accurate grooming records and appointment notes Clean and sanitize grooming tools, equipment, and work areas Schedule appointments, check pets in and out, and collect payments Educating pet owners on grooming maintenance and pet care Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of professional pet grooming experience preferred Grooming certification preferred but not required Must be at least 18 years old Knowledge of dog breeds and grooming styles Ability to stand for long periods and lift pets up to 50 pounds Reliable, friendly, and professional with a genuine love for animals
