Kennel Tech

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support for our furry friends. This position requires a strong love for animals and the ability to handle them with care and compassion.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
• Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
• Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff
• Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
• Handle animals safely and securely during various procedures
• Assist with basic training exercises for dogs
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior observations
• Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners

Experience:

• Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting preferred
• Knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and basic care practices
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both clients and team members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
