Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming sessions Maintain a clean, organized grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide recommendations for pet care and maintenance Assist with pet handling, training, or behavioral assessments as needed to facilitate smooth grooming sessions Monitor dogs for signs of health issues or distress; report concerns to veterinary staff or pet owners promptly Support pet care activities such as feeding, administering medication, or assisting with veterinary procedures when required Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a focus on dog handling and animal care techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Strong animal handling skills combined with the ability to restrain animals safely during grooming procedures Familiarity with veterinary technician or assistant roles enhances understanding of pet health needs Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling in various settings demonstrates versatility in animal care Embark on a rewarding career where your enthusiasm for animals makes a difference every day!
