This position is ideal for someone with previous animal care experience who is looking to grow into a leadership role within a fast-growing company. The Assistant Manager will help ensure exceptional care for our guests, support and supervise staff, maintain facility standards, and provide outstanding customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, passionate about dogs, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with daily facility operations and staff supervision. Help manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all dogs in our care. Maintain facility cleanliness and presentation standards. Assist with customer service, client communication, and resolving concerns. Support staff training and help maintain a positive team culture. Monitor playgroups and ensure proper pet handling and safety procedures are followed. Help oversee daily schedules and staffing needs. Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed. Support business growth by providing an exceptional experience for both pets and their owners. Qualifications & Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. Prior experience working in the animal care industry is required, including experience at a boarding facility, daycare, veterinary clinic, grooming facility, animal shelter, or similar environment. Experience using pet care software such as Paw Partner, Gingr, Time To Pet, PetExec, Kennel Connection, or similar systems is required. Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience is preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable, organized, and capable of leading by example. Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed. Must have a genuine passion for animal care and customer service.
