Position Summary Assists the public with animal impounds, redemptions, adoptions, and licensing. Coordinates immunization, sterilization, and other medical services provided at the shelter. Compiles and reviews data for reports and required actions by licensed pet owners.
Starting Pay:
$19.78 per hour
Schedule:
Full time, 40 hours per week, 4 x 10 hours shifts

May close any time after June 29th, 2026 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist prospective owners in selection of animals for adoption Maintain list of requested animal types and prospective pet owners Collect fines and fees Administer vaccinations Safely moving animals Occasional cleaning/disinfection Review license database to identify owners of lost pets Compile daily animal intake record Type correspondence, maintain database and filing system, answer phones and deal with the public Prepare daily revenue report for deposit

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to three months related experience and/or training Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Able to obtain a Euthanasia Certificate within 6 months of being hired Have a Utah driver's license or the ability to obtain one Language Skills Must be able to effectively communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. Exposure to intermittent stress as a result of human behavior. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
